#4439 – Speaking Indirectly

Good morning people who listen to God speaking through other people

Revelation 1:1-2 NIV “The revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, who testifies to everything he saw—that is, the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ.”

Sometimes the Holy Spirit speaks directly to us, while at other times He speaks through others to us.

In this scripture, the Father spoke to Jesus, who spoke to an angel, who spoke to John, who spoke to us.

We want to hear God directly, yet we often don’t listen when He speaks indirectly.

God can speak through your spouse, your children, your parents, your pastor, your boss, your employees…through a burning bush, through a donkey, through writing on a wall…through a scripture, through a sign, through a song, through a conversation.

If you truly desire to hear God speak, ask Him to help you hear Him today through whatever vessel He chooses to use. Then keep the posture of an attentive ear.
