Good morning people who do good to all people
The Bible is full of instructions for us as Believers to do good to people. I think we live in a time where there is not enough goodness. Sometimes we need to simply do good without immediately trying to convert people on the spot.
Did you know that even Jesus did this? (Read the full story in John 9) Here’s the flow of activity in summary.
In verses 6-7 Jesus healed a blind man. Later this man was taken to the Pharisees who wanted to know who had healed him. They asked him a couple of times and then sent for his parents to quiz them on it. They then questioned the man again and this is his response in verse 25 “Whether He is a sinner or not, I do not know. One thing I know, I was blind but now I see”. This man clearly said he did not know who Jesus was BUT he did know what He had done for him; he knew he had benefited from Jesus’ goodness.
Now jump down to verse 35 and we see Jesus finds this man after he had been thrown out from where the Pharisees had been talking to him. It’s only here that Jesus reveals who He is to this man and the man responds. In verse 38 the man says “Lord, I believe.”
I want to encourage us all today to allow our goodness to open the door to spiritual revelation and salvation, and allow it to happen when it’s time.
