Good morning people who think right and set an example worth following
Philippians 4:8-9 NIV “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.”
We are called to be salt and light, and to be witnesses of what we’ve seen and heard about Christ. But what we give our attention to determines whether this becomes a reality in our life and through our life or not.
We live in a time when the world needs to see Christ through God’s people. We should be different! We should be thinking about godly things, and as a result, our very lives in every way are worth following. This is not a too high a standard; this is Bible!
Paul states it clearly in this scripture above, as well as putting it very clear in the following verse:
1 Corinthians 11:1 NIV “Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.”
Church, if it’s not worth following and imitating, don’t give your attention to it! If the peace of God is not attached to a way of thinking, speaking or living, don’t go there! Remember, it’s not just about our lives; it’s about the lives of others that know us.
