#4402 – Unity in Christ

Good morning people who celebrate Christians who are different to you

Mark 9:38-40 NIV “Teacher,” said John, “we saw someone driving out demons in your name and we told him to stop, because he was not one of us.” “Do not stop him,” Jesus said. “For no one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me, for whoever is not against us is for us.

It’s time for comparison and competition in the Body of Christ to stop and for unity in Christ to be what we are known for. It’s time for humility and an acknowledgement that we know in part and see in part. It’s time to see God’s kingdom come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven as every member of the Body supplies what is needed for the whole Body to be healthy.

Here’s what Jesus said about us being one and the witness this will be to the world:

John 17:20-23 NIV “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.”

How well do you celebrate the Body of Christ, especially those who are different to you?
