#4399 – Seek the Lord

Good morning people who know that God is who you need

Psalms 34:4 NIV I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.

Our primary seeking should not be the seeking of answers.

Often when we are afraid, when we have questions, when we are going through a dark valley, when we get a bad doctor’s report, when a relationship is strained, when our work situation is uncertain, when we battle continually with the same issue…it is easy to focus on seeking an answer.

Having answers to our questions is not wrong. Seeking answers to our questions is not wrong. But the reality is that many questions don’t have satisfactory answers.

So what are we to do?

Make the greatest seeking in our life seeking the Lord, not seeking an answer.

Lasting and true deliverance from all our fears is not in an answer to a question but in the deeper knowing of God Himself in greater intimacy.

I feel the invitation of God to some of you today is this:

Shift the focus from seeking answers to seeking the Lord.
