#4397 – Your Inheritance

Good morning people who do not give away what God has given you

Hebrews 12:16-17 NIV See that no one is sexually immoral, or is godless like Esau, who for a single meal sold his inheritance rights as the oldest son. Afterward, as you know, when he wanted to inherit this blessing, he was rejected. Even though he sought the blessing with tears, he could not change what he had done.”

A moment can make a difference.

Don’t give up in a moment what is rightfully yours for a lifetime.

Don’t choose pleasure over promise.

Don’t miss out on what you will ultimately want later because of what you temporarily want now.

It’s not always easy to say no to temptation. It’s not always easy to do the right thing, especially with the power of pleasure that saturates our natural world.

But here is a truth that I felt Father speak to my heart:

It is easier to overcome temptation than it is to overcome regret.

Let’s learn from Esau’s mistake. Let’s focus on our rightful inheritance as children of God.
