#4396 – God’s Light

Good morning people who live in the light of the truth of God’s Word

Psalms 27:1 NIV The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?

As I was reading this, I was standing in my front sitting room with the sun pouring in through the windows. The light was so bright and it was warm and felt wonderful.

I glanced over my shoulder and I saw the sun on the piano. I was instantly aware that the sun also revealed the dust. Dust is not seen in the darkness, but in the light.

The dust of our lives can hide in the darkness of the world, but not in the light of God.

When the world says sin is ok (of course they do not call it sin), too often some in the Church accept this and they feel justified. This is not because they are right – it is because they are in darkness.

What is needed by those in the light is not more tolerance of what the Bible calls sin. What is needed is more light and illumination of the true state of the dust and the darkness of sin.

If the world takes the lead for morality, destruction is the result.
