Good morning people who submit to the wisdom and will of God
Luke 5:4-5 NIV When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.” Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.”
Simon’s first recorded statement to Jesus was one of humility.
He was an experienced fisherman who knew how to catch fish. He knew the right time and the right way to catch fish. He knew about tides and currents. Simon knew how to fish.
And yet Simon did what a non-fisherman told him to do in his own vocation.
I’m sure you are good at your job. Wonderful.
But does Jesus have the right to instruct you to do things a different way?
And when He does, will you obey because it is He Who has spoken to you?
We are never more expert than God in anything, including in our jobs, in our families and in our ministry.
