Good morning people who honour people but don’t become enslaved

There is a big difference between having a people-honouring focus, and having a people-pleasing focus.

One results in the favour of God being released into our lives, and one results in us becoming a slave to fear.

One results in life, and one results in bondage.

I Peter 2:17 NKJV Honour all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

Proverbs 29:25 NIV Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.

If we are going to avoid living in the fear of man, we must get our sense of identity and worth from God. He measures very differently to people.

So, today, let’s honour people, but let’s not live under the fear of man.

You are who God says you are.
