#4299 – Taking Responsibility

Good morning people who live in the freedom that Christ purchased for you

Genesis 3:12-13 NIV 12 The man said, The woman you put here with me—she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it.” 13 Then the Lord God said to the woman, What is this you have done?” The woman said, The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”

I’ve got something to say here that is so important, and if seen and received, could make a huge difference in your life.

Blaming others for our disobedient decisions will never result in true freedom.

Taking responsibility – completely and fully, without any blame – is very rare these days. We often look to ‘shift the blame’ and we come up with many reasons why ‘it was not my fault’.

Every time we do this, we never step into the full measure of the freedom that is ours in Christ.

The reality is, what we say to try and protect ourselves so that we don’t feel bad, is the very thing that keeps us enslaved and we continue to feel bad!

Maybe this is an equation that will help you today:

Taking responsibility = stepping into freedom.

I’m not talking about “woe is me” and living under shame. Not at all!

I’m talking about saying, “I did this Father. Please forgive me!” and then stepping into your freedom!

What will you choose today?
