#4290 – What God Said

Good morning people who don’t add to what God has said

Genesis 3:1-3 NIV 1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, Did God really say, You must not eat from any tree in the garden?” 2 The woman said to the serpent, We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did say, You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’ ”

God never said, “You must not touch it.” Eve added to what God said.

Small additions to what God has said can cause big derailments in His purpose for our lives.

Adding to what God has said is where legalism and licence come from, and legalism and licence are based in a lack of trust in God’s goodness and best for us.

When you enter into legalism or license, you lose your God-given freedom.

When God instructs you to do something, don’t add a timeframe to it if He hasn’t given a timeframe. I’m not talking about delaying when you know He has said, “Do this now!” I am talking about putting ourselves under a pressure that He has not authored.

With the prophetic, adding to what God has said will also end in a lack of fulfilment of Father’s intention.

It’s time to trust God enough to not add to what He has said, not even a little bit.
