Good morning people who trust the sovereignty of God in times of trouble

God was sovereign in Job’s life, not the devil or circumstances. God allowed certain things but said, “You can’t cross this line”.

This is difficult for us to understand but we must accept it if we are to stay in faith. Look at Job’s response – may we all learn from it.

Job 1:20-22 NIV At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head (having deep feelings about great loss is not wrong). Then he fell to the ground in worship and said: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.” In all this, Job did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing.

Job acknowledged God’s sovereignty even when Satan and circumstances brought devastation.
