#4235 – God’s Sovereignty

Good morning people who serve the living God

Our God reigns! He is sovereign!

I am not talking about God having authority like many others have authority. God’s authority is not equal among many.

Ephesians 1:17-23 NIV I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know Him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and His incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of His mighty strength, which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under His feet and appointed Him to be head over everything for the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills everything in every way.

He is King of kings and Lord of lords!

But do we really believe that God reigns in our life?

Do we believe it when things don’t make sense?

Do we believe it when we cannot see what God is doing?

Do we believe it when people let us down and hurt us deeply?

Do we believe it when we have prayed and there seems to be no answer?

Do we believe it in every circumstance and in every season?

I pray today you pause and consider the above passage and the potential affect it has on your life. Over the next few days I want to go a little deeper in this and I pray the eyes of our heart are enlightened with this incredible truth of God’s sovereignty.
