#4234 – Positive People

Good morning people who speak life to yourself and to others

Have you ever been around people who always speak positively? Even when it’s tough and they are in the middle of challenges, they are positive and faith-filled! How do you feel when you are around them?

Conversely have you ever been around people who always speak negatively? Even when it’s good and they are in the middle of something that is going well, they are negative and they say it could be going better. How do you feel when you are around them?

How about you? What would others honestly say about your attitude to life and to your words?

I’m reminded of the twelve spies who brought back a report regarding the Promised Land. Ten stated facts but through a filter of negativity and all the reasons why it wouldn’t work. Only two brought back positive faith-filled words about the same reality they saw. The Israelites listened to the negative words and as a result decades of difficulty followed.

Don’t be fooled, your words are powerful…and you can be positive!!! Some of you honestly believe you can’t be positive because of your situation. I love you too much to not be very clear: that is a lie – it’s simply not true.

Make a choice today: I am going to speak positive faith-filled words regardless of my circumstances. You and I can do this, and indeed we must. Our circumstances do not determine our day, our attitude and our words do!

Acts 16:22-24 NIV The crowd joined in the attack against Paul and Silas, and the magistrates ordered them to be stripped and beaten. After they had been severely flogged, they were thrown into prison, and the jailer was commanded to guard them carefully. Upon receiving such orders, he put them in the inner cell and fastened their feet in the stocks.

Let’s be honest, this is a terrible day and there is no reason to be positive!!! Now let’s look at the next verse and may it be our testimony too.

Acts 16:25 NIV About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them.
