Good morning people filled with God’s Spirit

John 3:34 For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit without limit.

Ok I’m excited about this word!!! John the Baptist is talking about Jesus in this passage but if you take the whole counsel of Scripture, it refers to us also. In John 17 Jesus declares He’s going back to the Father and He passes the baton on to us, every Believer, to be ones whose lives and words speak the things of God. Jesus was filled with the Spirit when He came out of the waters of baptism and we too are told to be filled with the Holy Spirit. The result for Jesus and the result for us is power from God to accomplish all that He asks us to do.

Now here’s the thing that struck me. This verse says we receive the Spirit ‘without limit’. We also talk about being ‘filled with the Holy Spirit’. When you talk about something being full or without limit, it does not mean a trickle, it doesn’t mean a quarter, half or three quarters full and it doesn’t even mean almost full. Being full and without limit means ‘you can’t have any more!’ it means you have it to capacity. It also means you can’t put anything else in because there is no room!!!! Now I’m getting excited!!!

This is how much of God we have! We have available to us and to flow through us, all of God! We don’t get a part of Him; we either have Him or we don’t. It’s not about us and our inadequacies; it’s about God and His ‘limitless power’ to flow in us and through us!!!! WE HAVE GOD’S UNLIMITED POWER AVAILABLE TO US TODAY!!!! WE HAVE THE FULLNESS OF GOD LIVING IN US TODAY!!! DON’T WAIT FOR MORE; WE HAVE ALL WE NEED NOW!!! IT’S TIME TO RECEIVE IT BY FAITH, DECLARE IT BY FAITH AND WALK IN IT BY FAITH!!!!
