#4201 – Feed the Spirit

Good morning people who encourage yourself in the Lord

In 1 Samuel 30, David and his men return from a battle to their homes in Ziklag. There they find their homes burned and their wives and children taken captive.

Understandably they were grieving deeply in their ‘soul’; their ‘mind and emotions’. This is what it says:

I Samuel 30:4 NKJV Then David and the people who were with him lifted up their voices and wept, until they had no more power to weep.

This is intense agony of the soul; this is a depth of emotions that is hard to imagine.

So, what does David do in this tragic situation?

I Samuel 30:6 NKJV Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God.

Rather than focus on fixing his emotions, David fed his spirit; he strengthened himself in the LORD his God.

If we are going to prosper this decade, we need to receive a revelation from Father of this equation of truth:

Feeding our spirit is greater than fixing our emotions.
