#4200 – Mind and Emotions

Good morning people who desire strength in your thoughts and feelings

3 John 1:2 NKJV Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

According to the Greek word used here, as well as the Oxford Dictionary, the word ‘soul’ is primarily defined as ‘spirit’. We are spirit first.

But both the Greek and the Oxford Dictionary have secondary definitions that include our ‘mind and emotions’. In the Greek it refers to ‘the seat of the feelings, desires, affections, aversions’. And in the Oxford Dictionary it refers to ‘emotional or intellectual energy or intensity’.

The correct Biblical way – God’s way – is that our spirit influences our soul. However, many times we buy into the lie that says our soul influences our spirit. We don’t say this, but we often live like we believe it.

Father has a clear and wonderful invitation to us all this decade, and that is to live in ‘prosperity and peace’.

Today He is establishing the correct foundation for this to become our reality, and that is, spirit first, then mind and emotions, not the other way around.
