#4085 – Spiritual Battles

Good morning people who militantly overcome the enemy

Here’s the second picture Father gave me as we look at kingdom methods of advancement:

  1. An army, besieging an enemy city, combining both strategy and force.

Some things are incremental and the result of regularly practising, little by little. This includes swimming, spiritual gifts and our measure of faith.

Some things however are the result of a militant, active aggression that is God-initiated and God-honouring.

The main area that comes to my mind is our spiritual battles.

We do not, nor should not, be timid or polite with the enemy who comes to steal, kill and destroy! NO!

Nor should we believe the lie that tries to convince us that this needs to be a long and slow process of gradually overcoming the defeated foe!

God’s Word gives us clear instructions to be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power (Ephesians 6:10) and to take captive every thought and make it obedient to Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5).

You don’t have to be gentle, polite or sedate with the enemy who comes to assail you!

Rise up people of God, find the strategies in God’s Word and then militantly overcome the attacks of the enemy in Jesus’ Name!
