Good morning people who desire what God desires on earth

Matthew 6:9-10 NIV This, then, is how you should pray: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”

‘What others do’ and ‘what we like’ is not the measure for our acceptance for something. (Please read this again)

‘Is it permitted in heaven?’ is the measure for our acceptance of something.

You might argue that this is too high a standard or too lofty an ideal for us.

I would agree if I was speaking purely from a natural perspective that was focused on my best efforts. But this is not how we are called to live!

All of our spiritual life and reality is by its very definition ‘supernatural’! We can’t do any of it by ourselves, and therein lies the truth and the good news!

We need God always, completely, for everything!

And as ones who have received Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, we have God always, completely, for everything!!

This is how we can pray, pursue and live in God’s kingdom on earth as in heaven – because of Christ in us!
