#4054 – Grace Wins

Good morning people who live in boundless grace

I feel to follow up on yesterday’s proclamation. Let’s start with this verse:

Romans 5:20b NIV But where sin increased, grace increased all the more,

Yes, we see sin increasing and wickedness increasing, but God’s grace, mercy, power, forgiveness and life increased immeasurably more through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ!

THIS IS THE TRUTH!!

God turned a first century terrorist into one of the greatest apostles the world has ever seen!

We love and are fed on the writings of the great apostle Paul, but before he was Paul, this is what the Bible said about him when he was Saul:

Acts 8:1-3 NIV And Saul approved of their killing him (Stephen). On that day a great persecution broke out against the church in Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout Judea and Samaria. Godly men buried Stephen and mourned deeply for him. But Saul began to destroy the church. Going from house to house, he dragged off both men and women and put them in prison.

Acts 9:1-2 NIV Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord’s disciples. He went to the high priest and asked him for letters to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any there who belonged to the Way, whether men or women, he might take them as prisoners to Jerusalem.

God was winning in the first century and He is still winning today! GRACE WINS!
