Good morning people who finish what Father gave you to do

Here’s what Jesus prayed near the end of His life:

John 17:4 NIV I have brought You glory on earth by finishing the work You gave me to do.

Jesus’ life brought His Father glory, not because He did many good things, but because He finished the work that His Father gave Him to do.

The same will be true of our lives.

I’m gripped by this statement:

If Father didn’t author it, I won’t entertain it.

This applies to ways of thinking, ways of responding, what we give our time to, the way we treat relationships, how we do our job…actually, it applies to everything.

For some who are reading this today, there is a holy call to step up in the way that you view and do your work. Here’s what the Bible says:

Colossians 3:22-24 NIV Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to curry their favour, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

May our whole lives honour Him.
