#4028 – Consume God

Good morning people who do not nibble around the edges of God’s goodness

John 6:51 NIV I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

Jesus is to be consumed, not just nibbled on.

On one hand, this is strange and even offensive wording for me to use (let’s look at that tomorrow), but for now, let me light a fire and fan into flame a passion for the fullness of God in our lives!

In the natural, if I love the taste of something, I don’t want as little as possible – I want as much as possible.

Like you, there have been times when I have overeaten because of how nice something tasted. Christmas is a prime example.

So let me ask you when was the last time you overate Who God was and feed so deeply and so fully on the goodness of God?

When you are full of natural food, you don’t go looking for something else “more satisfying”.

So too in the spiritual. We are to be filled with God so that we do not look elsewhere for a satisfying meal.

It’s time for some spiritual feasting my friends!
