Good morning people who do what you need to do to encounter God
John 6:24 NIV Once the crowd realised that neither Jesus nor His disciples were there, they got into the boats and went to Capernaum in search of Jesus.
We live in a time of great complacency.
People do what pleases them and what is easy. People don’t want to put effort into anything, unless it fulfils a personal need, and often this is a very self-centred need.
But this is not the story of the Bible and the nature of those who truly find God on deeper levels.
In this verse, people made the effort to get into boats, travel great distances, and spend substantial amounts of time searching for Jesus.
Now it is true that many people did this with the wrong motives – it was to see a sign or to receive a miracle – but they still did it.
How much more are we who have a genuine desire for God and to know Him more called to pay the price to passionately pursue God?
