#4018 – Jesus’ Story

Good morning people who have God working even when it doesn’t make sense

Matthew 2:16 NKJV Then Herod, when he saw that he was deceived by the wise men, was exceedingly angry; and he sent forth and put to death all the male children who were in Bethlehem and in all its districts, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had determined from the wise men.

Not everything goes according to the script that we would write for our spiritual journey and divine purpose.

Jesus’ life started with a star that pointed the way to the place of His birth and with worship and gifts from the wise men.

Jesus’ life also started in a barn filled with animals and a massacre of innocents because of an evil man’s rage at His birth.

I’m speechless as I meditate on this. It does not sound right, and it most definitely does not read right. This is not compatible with the life that Jesus came to live or the Life He came to give.

Something is very wrong with this picture, with this story, with these circumstances surrounding the Messiah and Saviour of the world.

Yet this is part of Jesus’ story.

Do you have a part of your story that doesn’t read right and is incompatible with the child of God that you are?

I pray that you and I receive revelation from our Father in heaven so that we may see He is working and fulfilling His plan even when the enemy is working to destroy all he can.

God is greater!
