#400 – Spiritually Minded

Good morning supernatural people

I feel the Holy Spirit is really stirring me about the level of spiritual mindedness that I have. I believe with all my heart there is so much more that God wants me to be aware of and walk in but many times I am limited in my thinking.

I can be limited in being caught up with the natural part of life and living it without a sense of dependence upon the Holy Spirit. Our default is doing. If we can do something ourselves, then we just do it. On one hand this is essential to achieving tasks and being fruitful. Yet on the other hand we can so easily lose our sense of rightful dependence upon the Holy Spirit who lives within. It’s a fine line.

I can be caught up with humanistic thinking that is not ‘wrong’ but it is not scriptural. Whether I feel comfortable with something is not the right question to ask. The correct question to ask is ‘Is God comfortable with what I am doing?” How often do we pray this and think about life this way?

I can be focused on solutions based simply on the best options and human thinking whereas the Holy Spirit is waiting, yearning to be the giver of wisdom in my life, and not just a little here and there, He wants to give liberally, excessively, extravagantly.

Living life in a spiritually minded way has got to be something that I intentionally do. It cannot be something I choose to do once and then expect it to be my default as I go through my day. These aforementioned thought processes, which are in fact the enemy of spiritual mindedness, are the default of every person until our internal wiring is changed and this takes time.

Over the next few days we will look at this together. There is an urgency for the Holy Spirit to bring revelation to our hearts because He has so much more in store for us. Whether you are a new Christian or you have been a Minister for decades, God has more for you! Please join me on this journey of opening our minds to the things of God as we look at the power of our mind.
