#3992 – Son & Saviour

Good morning people who walk with the One Whose Name is above all

Jesus means ‘Jehovah is salvation’ (Strong’s g2424).

Further to ‘Jehovah is salvation’, in the name Jesus, we also see three more declarations of Who He is: ‘the Son of God, the Saviour of mankind, God incarnate’. (Strong’s g2424)

Jesus is ‘the Son of God’.

Jesus always has been God the Father’s Son and always will be.

Jesus was born as a child, but has always existed as the Son of God.

Isaiah 9:6 NIV For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Jesus is ‘the Saviour of mankind’.

A Saviour brings salvation, and salvation is deliverance.

Being ‘saved from something’ is being ‘delivered by Someone’.

Before Adam and Eve sinned, there was no need for a Saviour. But that one decision through one man (Adam) changed everything.

Mankind now needed salvation, and it came once and for all through Jesus (Romans 5:12-21, Romans 6:10, 1 Peter 3:18).
