Good morning people who obey God and receive His provision
Genesis 22:13-14 NIV Abraham looked up and there in a thicket he saw a ram caught by its horns. He went over and took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son. So Abraham called that place The Lord Will Provide. And to this day it is said, “On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.”
‘Holding nothing back’ releases God’s provision for our sacrifice and for His promise.
Often in the Bible, when we hear about ‘the mountain of the Lord’, it is referring to the place of encounter; the place where people meet with God.
For Abraham, this definitely happened. But the context points to something different in this scripture.
‘This place’ (the mountain of the Lord) is talking about ‘the place of obedience to God through holding nothing back’. Think about the context of what Abraham did.
In ‘this place’, there will be provision for what God is requiring from us (the sacrifice of Isaac), and there will also be provision for the original promise (through Isaac all nations on earth will be blessed).
Wow! Help us Lord.
