Good morning people who put your trust in God even during contradictions
Genesis 22:7-8 NIV Isaac spoke up and said to his father Abraham, “Father?” “Yes, my son,” Abraham replied. “The fire and wood are here,” Isaac said, “but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?” Abraham answered, “God Himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.” And the two of them went on together.
‘Holding nothing back’ has a faith-filled confidence in God and a faith-filled confession to others even when you are walking in personal contradiction to what God has said.
God told Abraham to sacrifice his son, but he also knew that God had said that Isaac was the one through whom the promise will be fulfilled.
So what should Abraham be declaring?
He lent into the nature of the God Who he knew, and he declared aloud his belief that was founded in his confidence in his God. Profound!
Do we confidently trust God during times of personal contradiction to what God has said?
What do we speak to those around us during these times?
