#3961 – Where God Said

Good morning people who obey the specifics of what God has said

Genesis 22:2-3 NIV Then God said, “Take your son, your only son, whom you love—Isaac—and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on a mountain I will show you.” Early the next morning Abraham got up and loaded his donkey. He took with him two of his servants and his son Isaac. When he had cut enough wood for the burnt offering, he set out for the place God had told him about.

‘Holding nothing back’ does not set out to serve in an easier place when God says something impossibly difficult.

Sometimes when God tells us to do something that we absolutely do not want to do, we try to compensate by ‘serving Him’ in a different place; in an easier place.

Abraham would have been forgiven by me if this was his initial thought and even response. But he didn’t.

Although impossibly difficult to understand, Abraham set off early the next morning to do exactly what God had told him to do.

How is your obedience to doing exactly what God has said when His instruction will cost you dearly?
