Good morning people who are righteous because of Who God is

There are some truths of God’s Word that we need continual reminders about. Here’s one:

Daniel 9:18 NIV Give ear, our God, and hear; open Your eyes and see the desolation of the city that bears Your Name. We do not make requests of You because we are righteous, but because of Your great mercy.

The reason we can come to God is because of His mercy.

Salvation is possible because of God’s mercy.

Healing is possible because of God’s mercy.

Forgiveness is possible because of God’s mercy.

Provision is possible because of God’s mercy.

Everything that we are privileged to receive from God is because of Who He is, not because of who we are.

This makes it possible for us to ‘come as we are’, because regardless of how good or how bad we think we are, we need God.

So, don’t step back in fear!
