Good morning people who shine your light for the glory of God

I felt Father say, “Light it up!”

Matthew 5:14-16 NIV You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Father’s statement “Light it up!” is intentional.

It flies in the face of “Well, if God wants to use me, He can”.

It requires action.

It requires a sense of purpose and calling.

It requires obedience to what God has said.

There are some people waiting for us to “Light it up!” so that they can encounter the goodness of God. 

“Are we hiding our light under a bowl, or are we putting our light on a stand?”

One is wasteful – one is worshipful.
