#3902 – Sowing & Reaping

Good morning people who sow to the Spirit and not to the flesh

Galatians 6:7-9 NIV Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

There is a natural, God-created order to life, and part of this includes ‘sowing and reaping’.

This includes who and what we choose to follow.

We can’t choose one thing and want the results of a different decision.

The context of ‘let us not become weary in doing good’ is in the context of ‘sowing and reaping’.

In other words, it takes effort, discipline and a lot of dependence on Holy Spirit power to make the right choices, that is, to follow God and to not follow the ways of the world.

The result is wonderful though! ‘For at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up’.

Oh, how we all want this! But it is not automatic, nor is it handed to us devoid of our decisions.

Again, it’s about ‘sowing and reaping’, and it’s in the context of perseverance and continued right choices.

I choose God.
