Good morning people guard against the slippery slopes of life

James 4:4 NIV You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.

The last line of this scripture says, ‘anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God’.

This is not talking about people who have moments of struggle, that when the Holy Spirit prompts, you repent and continue walking with God.

This is talking about people who make a choice to be ok with the world’s pattern and ways, even when they are in opposition to God and His ways.

This person will become an enemy of God.

In other words, it’s gradual, it’s a slippery slope and it is the inevitable end.

Joshua 24:15 NIV But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.

I choose God.
