Good morning people who honour God with your drinking
1 Corinthians 10:31 NIV So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
Here’s a subject I don’t think I’ve written about before, but it’s on the list of things that I want to ask, “What would Jesus do?”
There’s a very insightful scripture that speaks to this and I encourage you to read it in 1 Corinthians 10:23-33.
Paul is talking about freedom, and he is also talking about respecting other people, even placing others before ourselves (a recurring biblical theme).
1 Corinthians 10:24 NIV No one should seek their own good, but the good of others.
And again…
1 Corinthians 10:32-33 NIV Do not cause anyone to stumble, whether Jews, Greeks or the church of God— even as I try to please everyone in every way. For I am not seeking my own good but the good of many, so that they may be saved.
I feel to write more on this tomorrow, but for now I leave you with this question:
“Is my drinking honouring or dishonouring God and other people?”
