Good morning people who speak words that Jesus would speak

“If Jesus wouldn’t say it, then I won’t say it.”

It’s for good reason that the Word of God tells us the following:

Proverbs 18:21 NIV The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

There is creative power in words – this is God’s design. It was true at creation, it was true when Jesus spoke to the fig tree, and it is true for you and I today.

What we speak to ourselves and what we speak to others is also creative. It was for Jesus and it is for us.

Jesus was the WORD and Jesus is LIFE, and today I believe this prophetic symbolism is a word for all of us. May our words be life to people.

It’s time to be careful with the words that we speak. If Jesus wouldn’t say it, then we shouldn’t say it.

Here’s a great prayer for us today:

“Father, help me to only speak words that bring life and encouragement to myself and others.”
