Good morning people with a future

I am fully persuaded that God can have something good come from every situation in our lives, even the very bad and difficult times. For some of you today, this is the message of hope you need to hear. For some, we know what the Bible says and we want to believe it but if we are honest we don’t see how it is possible for good to come from such pain. If you are at that point today, I feel for you and God does too.

But there is hope. The truth is there are countless testimonies of incredible blessing coming from indescribable pain. There are testimonies of those who wanted to die due to the trauma and are now giving life and hope to others because they can identify with them and their lives, especially the pain. Common ground has become the greatest platform for the message to be received.

I want to commend one such story to you today if you are in that place. It is the book ’90 Minutes In Heaven’ by Don Piper. This is a true story of death and life. Don is a pastor who through a horrific car accident was clinically dead for 90 minutes and in this time went to heaven. This book might mess with your theology but maybe, like for me, that’s not a bad thing. The greater thing that this book shows, which is my point today, is that although Don is still in constant pain 20 years on from that terrible day, his life is making a difference in the lives of others. It didn’t just happen. Don had to change how he looked at things. This is Don’s testimony and this can be yours too.

Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.
