#3780 – Spirit of Fear

Good morning people who rely upon God for your strength

Psalm 27:1-3 NIV The Lord is my light and my salvation – whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life – of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked advance against me to devour me, it is my enemies and my foes who will stumble and fall. Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident.

Fear has been crippling too many of us for too long. We try and do all we can, but it doesn’t seem to be enough.

In these verses above, the defeater of fear is not ‘what I can do’, but ‘Who God is and His power in me’.

I’m reminded of a well-known verse:

2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV For God has not give us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

And then I saw this in a different version:

2 Timothy 1:7 NIV For the Spirit God gives us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

I pray that we all receive a greater revelation that God has given us His Spirit, not the spirit of fear, and the Spirit of God is far more powerful than the spirit of fear!

“GOD, we need YOU!”
