#3773 – Soul Prosperity

Good morning people whose walk with the Lord does them good

Psalm 25:12-13 NIV Who, then, are those who fear the Lord? He will instruct them in the ways they should choose. They will spend their days in prosperity, and their descendants will inherit the land.

The person who fears the Lord and who walks in the ways that God chooses for them, they will spend their days in prosperity.

The word ‘prosperity’ today gets a bad reputation because of the mishandling of the Word of God and an imbalanced focus and theology about material possessions.

But this verse primarily means something different.

In the King James Version, the above highlighted line says: His soul shall dwell at ease.

This is true prosperity!

Just ask Paul as he wrote ‘rejoice in the Lord always, again, I say rejoice’ (Philippians 4:4)…and he wrote it from prison! And he backed it up with ‘I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want’ (Philippians 4:12).

This is true prosperity!
