Good morning people who trust the timing of our perfect Father
Galatians 6:9 NIV Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Paul exhorts the church in Galatia to keep on going if they want to see a harvest. This is great advice for us all today!
But today, I want to lean into the words ‘at the proper time’.
The proper time for the harvest is not in our time, but in God’s time. In fact, the proper time for anything is in God’s time, not in ours.
Many frustrations that many Christians have is with the timing of God. We often think He is too slow – far too slow (let’s be honest here).
As my Dad humourously says, “God is never late, but He sure misses some golden opportunities to be early!”
Naturally speaking, I concur with this humourous statement, and so do many of you.
The problem is when this becomes a serious belief, and then as a result, we take matters into our own hands. (Just ask Abram & Sarai – see Genesis 15:1-4 and 16:1-4).
My question to you today is not if you trust the will of God, but:
“Do you trust the timing of God?”
