Good morning people who remember God’s goodness
One of the greatest challenges with humanity is our quickness to forget our reliance on God. It’s too easy to slip into the “I have accomplished this” way of thinking. Success can often cause separation. It happened to the children of Israel who saw many amazing miracles and it can happen to us if we are not mindful of it.
Hosea 13:6 But I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt. You shall acknowledge no God but me, no Saviour except me. I cared for you in the desert, in the land of burning heat. When I fed them, they were satisfied; when they were satisfied, they became proud; then they forgot me.
Here’s the bottom line: God supplies yet man gets proud and forgets God. This is tragic.
Friends we must guard our hearts against the sin of forgetting God. He has done so much for us: He has saved us, forgiven us, healed us, restored us, given us vision and hope. Our God is our all-sufficiency; He is all that we need. But that’s exactly the point to remember: WE DO NEED HIM.
God has not only saved us but He also sustains us. He is not just the Lord who did miracles in the past but He is the God who determines our breath today and our life tomorrow. We need Him, we really do.
