Good morning people who live under the protection of God Almighty

Psalm 3:3 NIV But You, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One Who lifts my head high.

The purpose of a shield is protection.

In a battle, a shield is lifted up to stop the weapons of the enemy from taking you out.

A problem with a shield is that it is limited to one place. In other words, if you lift a shield up in front of you, it can stop the blows from the front, yet blows from the rear can still inflict damage and even destroy.

Yet God, our God, our Lord, our Commander and Chief, is a shield around us; in front and behind, above and beneath, without and within…everywhere, always.

The only truly safe place is ‘to be hidden in the shadow of the Almighty’ (Psalm 91:1).

“Do you need protection today?”

Run to God and hide yourself in Him.
