#3715 – Eternal Dwelling

Good morning people who delight in walking daily with our wonderful God

Psalm 23:6 NIV Surely Your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

In Old Testament times, people met with God at a physical location.

In New Testament times, we are invited to be the location where God Himself takes up residence!

As I meditate on this, I feel God would simply say: The house of the Lord is anywhere that we are with Him.

Psalm 139:7-10 comes to mind where it talks about not being able to go anywhere where God is not there. Deuteronomy 31:6 and Hebrews 13:5 tells us that God will never leave us or forsake us. 1 Corinthians 6:19 makes it clear that we are now the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit Who lives in us.

“So, are you hungry to walk with God all the days of your life?”

“Do you have a revelation that you are now the dwelling place of God Who lives in you, and do you believe this is literal?”

I’ll leave you with more words from David:

Psalm 27:4 NIV One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple.

May we desire the same thing.
