Good morning people who reflect the Son of God in their LOVING humility

Jesus humbled Himself:

Philippians 2:5-8 NIV In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to His own advantage; rather, He made Himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross!

Lucifer exalted himself:

Isaiah 14:12-14 NKJV How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, you who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart: “I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation on the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.”

Lucifer needed God, yet his prideful boasting declared he could do things himself; he didn’t need God. This is the ugliness of pride – then and now.

We are called to be like Christ; like LOVE Himself:

1 Corinthians 13:4 NIV LOVE is patient, LOVE is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
