Good morning people who are all equal in the eyes of God

Sometimes I have been ignorant and arrogant enough to believe that I am better than “them”, because at least I haven’t done “that”.

But then I read James, and I’m reminded of the truth.

James 2:10 NIV For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.

Confronting, I know. But it is also healthy for us to see sin as God sees it.

The word sin means, ‘to miss the mark’. That mark is perfection in the eyes of our Perfect God.

Our challenge is that we view sin compared to others. God views sin compared to Himself. To Him, it is all disgusting, selfish and deserving of death.

But God so loved the word that He gave His only Son. (John 3:16) WOW!

You and I are not better or worse than others.

For all have sinned and all have fallen short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)

May we all know and rely on this love that God has for us. (1 John 4:16).
