Good morning people who praise your way forward with God

Jim Shaw is an outstanding man of God and one of my heroes of the faith. He has walked a life worth following and I honour him today.

I have just read Jim’s article titled Prison Break, and it is powerful. So today, I want to share just a few lines of it with you and I encourage you to go to the link above, read it and subscribe to his pearls of wisdom.

‘Giving thanks and praise is more powerful than asking in prayer. And it is more guaranteed than prayer. You can pray amiss, but you can’t praise amiss. We have to meet the conditions of prayer to get an answer from God. But God Himself inhabits our praises and our thanksgiving, so while we might get an answer from God in prayer, when we praise God, we get God Himself.

Everybody prays but the thing that sets some people apart is their thanks and praise to God. David isn’t famous for his praying! Paul and Silas opened their mouth to praise God and God opened their prison doors. Jonah praised God in the belly of the fish and his thankfulness literally makes his fish sick. Jonah 2.9. When Jesus gave thanks for the food, a feast for thousands came down. When He gave thanks at a dead man’s tomb, the spirit of resurrection came in. They all broke out in praise before their breakthrough.’
