Good morning people who say what God wants them to say

Jonah 3:1-2 NIV Then the word of the Lord came to Jonah a second time: “Go to the great city of Nineveh and proclaim to it the message I give you.”

God’s instruction to Jonah is the same as His instruction to us today: “Say what I tell you to say.”

The pulpit is not a place for us to proclaim what we want people to hear. It is a holy place where we have a holy responsibility to say what God tells us to say.

But the same is true in our relationships. I’m going to be blunt here: You don’t have the right to say what you want to say to ‘that person’ – you simply don’t. Rather, you have the responsibility to say what Father wants you to say.

Too many people are saying what they want to say today, and this is part of the problem.

So, let us step back and ask this question:

“What does God say about this situation or that person?”

Now, say that.
