#3597 – Peace = Prosperity

Good morning people who define truth as Father intends it to be defined

For some of you reading this today, you see the word prosperity, especially in the opening equation, peace = prosperity, and something reacts. In fact, for many Believers, a negative reaction is automatic when you hear the word prosperity mentioned in a spiritual context.

Today, I want to say that this understandable reaction by many is due to an incorrect focus by some people in their preaching on prosperity. But equally, it is because of us not accurately hearing what the Bible teaches.

So, with fresh eyes of faith and spiritual revelation, let’s see what God wants to say to us today.

Revelation 1:4 NIV John, to the seven churches in the province of Asia: Grace and peace to you from Him Who is, and Who was, and Who is to come, and from the seven spirits before His throne.

The original Greek word used for peace over and over again by the apostles in their prayer for God’s people means…wait for it…prosperity’.

Now don’t react. Let’s lean in and look deeper at what it means.

Peace: ‘prosperity; one, peace, quietness, rest, set at one again, a state of tranquillity’.

Biblically speaking, peace is a tranquil rest deep on the inside of us. Peace is the result of Father setting things right within us; setting us at one again with Him, and setting us at one again with ourselves, living without compromise and without internal conflict.

This is true biblical prosperity; peace on the inside.

Let’s look at this further tomorrow.
