#3566 – God’s Response

Good morning people who listen to the Lord’s rebuke and move forward

God clearly spoke to Jeremiah and prophetically called him. Jeremiah started by acknowledging God’s sovereignty, but then moved into naturally seeing what God had said – this is the lens from which he spoke to God.

“So, what did God say back to Jeremiah?”

Jeremiah 1:7-8 NIV But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord.

WOW!

God starts by telling Jeremiah to change what comes out of his mouth. This is direct. God said, “Don’t say that!”

“Why was this so important to God?”

Because it was not just about words, but about sight. It was also because God knows that words are powerful and creative.

God then went on to reinforce what He initially had said when He commissioned Jeremiah, and He clarified it further. He also said that it will not always be easy, but God will be with him and rescue him.

I believe Father wants to say this to you too today: “Change your filter. Change your language. I will be with you and I will rescue you.”
