Good morning people who walk in the light as He is in the light

This morning I looked out my office window, which I cleaned yesterday afternoon, and I couldn’t believe how many dirty smudges it still had on it.

Yesterday when I was cleaning it, it looked great. Today, with the morning light shinning through, it looks far from great.

And I felt Father show me that light reveals uncleanness.

I remember many times being amazed at how dusty or dirty something looks when the light hits it. When the light isn’t shinning on something, you don’t even think about it being dirty, dusty or unclean, but then the moment the light hits it, wow, your eyes are open to see the reality that was there all along.

And so it is with our lives.

We need God’s light to shine on our lives. Not to expose our sinful reality for the purpose of keeping us in our present state, but rather to bring to light any imperfections so that Father can lead us forward in His grace, goodness and kindness, into His holiness.

As you sit in the Word today and meditate on Who God is, I pray His light shines brightly, so that, He will lead you forward, out of darkness, into His glorious light and love.
