Good morning people who can never be good enough without being in Christ

I feel this theme is coming through a bit recently, but oh how we need a deeper revelation of this truth!

2 Corinthians 5:21 NIV God made Him Who had no sin to be sin for us, so that IN HIM (CHRIST) we might become the righteousness of God.

God’s grace saved us, not our works.

God’s grace sustains us, not our works.

Outside of Christ Himself, we are not, nor can we ever be, righteous; that is, in a condition acceptable to God. It’s just not possible!

We become righteous, not by doing more good works or by doing less bad works. Not at all.

We become righteous when we are IN CHRIST!

The dichotomy is this: An increasing awareness of being righteous before God is not connected to an increasing awareness of us doing more good works, but to an increasing awareness that our goodness can never be good enough – we need God!

So, if you aren’t feeling like you are not good enough, you’re correct! But God is, and He lives in you…and you live IN CHRIST!!!
